Hi from Sunny Scotland!
Hi
Just a quick intro! My name's Michael and I'm 23 and have a 2011 Volvo V50 R-Design
I had always wanted a V50 and when my family grew and we got a dog I decided it was a good time to get myself one!
I had a 2012 V50 DrivE with all the mod-cons, which I loved. However after only having it a few months I was involved in a bad car crash where we were t-boned by a car at a junction, and forced into a brick wall which collapsed on us. myself and my fiancée had to be rescued by removing the roof. Even though we were seriously injured and my fiancée was touch and go for a while, we were assured that if it wasn't for the safety features and the robustness of the V50, then neither my fiancée or my 2 year old daughter who was in the back would have made it.
From that day on, I vowed to always drive a Volvo, and as soon as I had recovered I went out with the aim to buy the closest car I could find to my previous one. I found my R-Design with very low mileage, and though it may not have features such as stop/start, built in Bluetooth etc, it makes up for it with a sportier body kit, nicer alloys, and heated seats.
I am currently in the process of Modifying the styling of the car slightly.
