new to the forum. last year i was lookin' around for a reliable, long lasting, well performing car, and i considered volvo because my friend in green bay, wisconsin had owned one. after reading reviews and finding that a volvo met my prerequisites i started looking on craigslist. whelp....i did something silly. instead of buying a reliable, fast car that'd get me to school and work and back....i bought a 1966 volvo amazon 2 door with bad rocker panels and floor boards. fast forward three months. lookin' on craigslist for a new volvo. i buy a 1994 volvo 850 turbo. 850's runnin' awesome, needs a pcv kit, which i'm doing next week. work to commence on the amazon this summer. original glass, chrome, engine, everything. 17,000 miles. really. it sat in someone's barn for twenty years, got pictures from the dude when i bought it of it sitting under a inch thick layer of dust and hay. i took it home, and i've never heard a car start better. oh volvo, do we lowly americans really deserve this level of quality and concern? even if we don't, we really appreciate it.
