Hi there folks,
the name is Gavin, I'm from Scotland
I have a 2003 V70 T5SE that is my workhorse, I've had it for a year and am absoloutly minted with it. It's prevoius job was as a Armed Response Vehicle for North Yorkshire Police so it's been chipped to about 320Bhp and there are a few "holes" in it. Ultra reliable (until last week) mega quick, drives like it's on rails. I was clocked through a radar trap at just over 150 MPH in it... I hasten to add this was with permission on the runway of a disused airfield during a motorsport event (I provide radio & safety cover) when I was making the "butty" run back to the service area! There was still more there under the bonnet to go but I ran out of both bottle and runway!
The only faults I can find are that it has the turning circle of a pregnant whale and it lunches front tyres (that could be my driving style). I've installed poly-bushes in the front wishbones which have cured the tramlining issue V70s seem to suffer from.
Other vehicles include a 1994 Landrover Discovery 300TDi, and a 1991 Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8 EFi.
Joined this forum and one other as the UK Volvo forum appears to have gone and stuck it's metaphorical todger in the blender [:-]
