Hi,

My name is Andrew. I've had my '00 V70 for about 2 years now, but I recently found this forum. Very helpful place and seems to be the one of most comprehensive Volvo forums out there. I've learned a lot about cars through my own experience over the years, and also from my dad who has been an ASE mechanic for probably 30 years. However without a forum like this, I doubt I'd have the resources needed, as well as a great community in addition to that.

I've already posted on this forum a bit, but I don't think I ever introduced myself. So yeah, that's what I'm doing here. Thanks everyone! Here's a pic of my car too:

thanks y'all. not bad for 137k miles eh? drivetrain still very strong, too, plus i do all maint/repairs myself. it's mostly stock. i was gonna wax her today but it started raining

i'll have to post a scooter pic also.

You're lucky that your dad is a top-notch ASE technician.

I wish I knew more about Volvos other than the 850. Currently there are not many experts for the XC90s and I have been thinking of looking for a VIDA DVD-based service manual.
