I have a 1999 Volvo v70 and had a problem with the battery draining itself, I noticed that the Idle control valve was running after the ignition was shut off.. I have since bought a new battery and currently disconnect the cables so it won't drain.. Is this a common problem? Any Ideas?

 

It is ok to run for a minute or so but not much longer than that. Try to find a relay for it.
