best thing to do is 1) look at the engine code for what's in the car (typically there's a sticker on the timing cover and a stamping in the metal behind the #1 cylinder. Should read something like B5242T... with the number after the T (ie 10,11,12 etc) indicating the specific build of the T5. 2) look at your car's build plate or VIN for the engine code. That will tell you what the original engine build that came with the car. Once you know those two facts you can see what other model used that engine, what years etc.
