Question IPS600 engine failure- hole in piston

I recently purchased a 2013 Riviera 43 Fly bridge motor yacht fitted with twin IPS600 engines. Engines have 1000hrs on them and had been running sweet. I have only done 20hrs since purchasing and recently experienced a major failure of the Stbd engine whilst cruising at 20knts and around 3100rpm - normal cruising revs & speed. Sudden loss of power and severe engine vibration.
Compression test indicated pot #2 was only 10% compression. Removed injectors and had tested with results indicating a failed test for all 6 injectors.
Removed head and # 2 piston has hole in top of it under diesel spray pattern from injector. Also pot#4 shows hairline crack.

Also indication of pitting in bore at what looks like top and bottom of stroke.
Have also had fuel analysis done and fuel is good.

Has anyone information on what could have caused this failure after only 1000hrs and why all 6 injectors have failed?
