Default Just saying Hi

Hi Everyone ! not done this forum stuff before but i have just bought a 2006 S40 2.0 Se and and going to try and find out some info on fitting a bluetooth system into the car but trying to think of ways to hide any buttons etc that come along with the blue tooth system rather than just have something stuck to the dash and was hoping to see if anybody else has done it already
Thanks a lot hope someone can help !!

You got pics of the bluetooth system? I haven't seen anything this advanced, but If you can get an example of what you're trying to hide, perhaps we can give you ideas.

I've seen the factory bluetooth accessory and I think I know what you mean with hiding wires:

It looks like they are just using a motorola bluetooth kit.

Yeah, and other options are those big honkin' displays that look out of place on the dash. I have seen ones that simply plug into the cig lighter about the size of a pack of smokes. My friend bought one but I haven't asked how he likes it.

I totally agree they really dont look very nice just stuck on the dash like an extra bit you can get the other ones but again they just dont look very good or are battery operated thats why i was hoping to find someway of fitting one that can somehow get intigrated into the dash or something or hidden but can still be used !! no point wasting a new car drilling holes in the dash !! and you would think volvo would have one but like you said its very similar to the Nokia that you have pictured

How is the unit powered? Otherwise, I'm thinking if you run the wiring through the A pillar and let it peak out where the a-pillar meets the roof.

So you're looking for something that will integrate into the interior. If you're not fond of the moto style, I found this one from Siemens to be quite sleek. Sorry about the picture quality. Was the best I could find quickly.

The thing is even with this one there is a bundle of wiring needed. If you mounted it close to the steering wheel or A-pillar or visor you should have no problems hiding a wire. I guess so much of this is just personal preference I'll leave it at that. If you get one and have it installed, posta pic.
