I just bought a 2008 Volvo everything was great took it home decided to change the air filter’s cabin filter had basically what equates to a mouse nest worth of leaves and acorns in it . I Vacuumed it out put a new filter and everything is fine but now one day later The heat is stuck . No matter what button to push it wouldn’t change from floot to defrost etc....and it won’t switch to cold I have done a lot of reading and there seems to be problems like this often can’t help but think I caused any ideas on how to reverse it? I was thinking about taking out both the air filter in the cabin filter plunging my leaf blower in and blasting it probably not a good idea but not sure either

2008 s40 I pulled the filter out before I vacuumed anything however it seems like the filter was at the bottom of the line.gravity would dictate that the acorns and leaves came from somewhere above that’s where I would believe the switches are to monitor whether heat goes to the floor or the above registers The odd thing was when I had the filter out I turned on the heat was able to toggle from heat to air-conditioning to defrost to floor without issue once I move the car if I press the button nothing happens until I try several times once it’s in a mode it stays there

Forgot to mention the nest of acorns and leaves was in the cabin filter
