Default Need some help identifying some things....

Just bought a 2007 XC90 for only 2K. It has some issues. However it passed emissions and I drove it home. Been cleaning up the interior and found some tools and don't know where they go and I'd like to help identifying the wire connections right next to the battery. And there's a location in the rear near the battery that has a hold down strap but I have no idea what was supposed to be there. Look at pics and let me know. This vehicle has issues and I knew about them when I bought it. I'll get a picture of the car and post it next time. Plus, it looks like this battery has a little leak.

Tools go in the missing bag and are held down by that strap

All those red wires are coming out of a fuse box with high amp fuses (that I've never seen bad)

That car looks like it has been flooded - not a battery leak

I was thinking the same thing about it being in water. Guess I'm not sure how to tell for sure. In the next day or so I'll be jacking it up and checking out the underside. I bought it to just mainly run around locally and I needed the space because I carry softball gear and a lot of Pickleball gear. Thanks for responding.

My battery leak comment pertains to that area on the battery directly across from the high amp fuses to the right. I got a little bit of it on a rag and it smelled like battery acid.
