New 240 owner in Washington
Hi, everyone!
I just bought an '84 240 DL wagon last week. I am familiar with 240s since my family had bought a new wagon a month after I was born. They drove it until it was destroyed in an accident 18 years later. Crumple zones are a wonderful thing!
As a little kid I never realized how great a car it was. I just assumed everything my family had and did was normal. My perspective is a little broader, now.
So while I learned to drive on a 240 and have spent a huge amount of time in and around one, I have a lot to learn about maintaining it. As a kid, I was not the one doing the work. And when I first got interested in cars, I worked on my own, not my parents' vehicle.
I've already picked up a bunch of information just from scrolling through the archives. This seems like a great forum.
