Just saying hey...
I currently own a 2003 VW GTI and am looking at picking up something different. I've owned this car since day 1 and it's time for a change. I'm currently looking at the Subaru WRX (modded most likely) and the Volvo S60R (Since they just make it into my price range it seems). I hope to learn a lot here.

Personal opinion:
Reliability: Subaru
Driving pleasure: Volvo
Durability would be about the same, except Volvo should be safer in case of a collision.
