Hola, new here, girlfriend has a 2000 v70 with a ton o' issues. Just thought I'd try to sort them out before taking another car note, if you know what I mean. I've fixed some problems before, but not being able to find the tranny dipstick was what actually led me here, hehe.

 

Welcome to VF. I hate to say it but Volvos from 99 to 01 were the worst Volvos ever. They all had bad ETM issues and some even had a lot of transmission issues. Good luck with the V70 and make sure you post up your issues in the V70 section so that we can help you sort them out.

Is there a FAQ for frequently used acronyms here (such as ETM)?

Edited to add: FCPGroton, I spent several years up your way as a nuke submariner, lived in Groton/New London/Quaker Hill for about 9 years. Can't say I miss the snow, but I do miss my apartment on Starr St in New London that allowed me to walk to most bars in the area within 5-10 minutes.
