Hi,
I am new here and not yet a volvo owner. Im considering buying an older wagon, 1995 or so vintage. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good prepurchase inspection option in the boston and/or seacoast NH areas?

Go into some of the model specific boards (ie the 850 board) and look at the stickies. There are a few articles on what to look for when buying an older car. You will need to either have some tech skills or enlist a mechanic for a visual, plus maintenance history is key. I'd start by checking the big cost maintenance items - timing belt? AC working? PCV oil trap working? All can be checked fairly easily. Key choices for 95s are turbo vs NA, and FWD (ie 850s) vs RWD (940/960s).
