New Here: Supra850
Hey guys, my name is Evan, I'm 17 and kinda have a "interesting" situation on my hands, to say the least.
Girlfriend has a 97 850 2.3L (I think maybe .4) non turbo automatic.
She is going to University next year, possibly out east, and does not want the Volvo or "Hulk" to sit, I have a sports car that will not handle the winter, so she said I can have it. Just maintain it and pay for any repairs.... and if I want to, turbo it or paint it black... She would.
So thats my end of the car, 50/50 ownership come september. Heres the current problem.
She had a radiator leak, that she didn't know about... and kinda ran the car then noticed that the temp gauge would sky rocket if driven for a long time. So she finally told me (hella late) but we found the problem....as well as no coolant, or engine oil....zero, zilch. Not good at all. So I found the rad leak its top right (passenger) side (from the drivers seat) kinda gnarly. So she got a rad from Oakville Radiator, $330. We have since started taking a few pieces off in order replace the rad, although haven't really done much. I did search and found some information, but I will search more before I start annoying everyone with a question.... usually to get an answer some where along the lines of SEARCH! Yes, I know been there done that.
Anyways, I'll ask around when I need help. I know these car forums are the best thing you can have when you need to troubleshoot stuff.
I'll post up some pictures, only pictures I have of the volvo is the crash she got into.... f150 pulled a U-ie in the middle of the road...dumb woman contractor.
Hulk= Stock grey body, green passenger fender/door
As for my car....I have a few pictures
1984 Toyota Celica Supra P-type (p-type is performance/factory rice, different rims, and fender flares)
Bigger engine 3.0L I-6 DOHC non turbo (turbos weren't available for mk2 supras)
5spd
Custom Blue paint
intake/exhaust
151k kms
For sale too, PM if interested/want more info.
Any advice/tips/tricks on the rad job would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Guys!

I started... and finished the radiator today. SO EASY! I am in the middle of a write up... will be up by tomorrow night for 97 non turbo automatic 850s. Plenty of pictures...
All I need for the 850 is the tranny coolant clamps (one broke of course) and the required o-rings/seals from Volvo... (its a long weekend in canada... EH)
