Default New ignition unit cost?

Good evening all
Just wanted some feedback, if possible really.
My 2007 S80 has had an electrical glitch for a few months now. Warning signs displaying "immobiliser see manual, and SRS airbag service and Brake failure stop safely". So I've had a new battery, a new CEM and still the issue came back. This was all done at a dealership in Chelmsford. Now today they rang and said it's now the "ignition unit " and the cost is another £300 on top of the £920 I've already spent. Any ideas on whether I've been fleeced or not and if this might actually solve the problem? Any advice welcomed. I love my car and am using a 2017 V40 which is quite nice, but I miss my big girl and the comfort and power she has in abundance.
Ps, I'm no home mechanic so can't do any work myself.

Thanks for reading.
