Hello everyone. I've been reading Volvo Forums a few weeks now and decided to join because you guys know what you are talking about.

Well, everybody calls me Jojo, not just on forums but in real life too. I'm from NJ and only 6 months ago bought a used 2000 V70 XC AWD (not sure if it's any different from the regular v70 [sm=smiley24.gif]), mainly so I can put my bicycles and canoe on top and go riding/camping up in mountains with friends.
(Funny story: Local STS mechanic knew I was looking for a car and when I told him I bought this one, he said he did not think I had any kids. I don't, so I take it this car is not really a good item to help in picking up girls.)

I will be asking a lot of questions because I really like this car and want it to last for a long time.

Volvos are commonlyknown as grocery getters and soccermom cars...
But depends on how you look at them...I love the boxy styling of the 240, 740, 940...even more when they have a nice set of rims and are lower a coulpe inches.
I think the new P2 models like the s60R/V70R, they have a sexy styling to them aswell.
Picking up chicks...well let's see how many like volvos.

Make sure to emphasise safety of Volvos. Remember, Volvos are still the safest cars available to the public only next to VIP vehicles.

No matter what they say, women value safety & security. Incidentally, make sure to have:

- A Volvo (which I do not have)
- A secure & high-paying job (which I do not have)
- Plenty of savings (which I do not have)
- Caring attitude (which I somewhat have but never noticed)
