I have a 1984 Volvo 240 series.

I love the car.

Right now I'm having a problem with the fact that my heater will not turn off. I am hoping to be able to just replace the switch on the core or make an adjustment.

I don't anticipate finding something on a search but I will try. Or take the car to the mechanic next week. I have an awesome mechanic.

But he is 1 hour away so I'd like to try an adjustment first.

Welcome to VF. If you have not posted the issue with you 240 in the 240 section, I would when you get a chance. They can definitely help you out there. As for the heater, I bet the control valve went bad.

That was it. I went to my mechanic yesterday and it was bad and leaking.

Taken care of! Wahoo!

And they gave me espresso too!

People never clean or check their heater control valve.
Sometimes it comes back and bites you in the rear.
