I'm new to the forum and am looking forward the banter.

I have a couple of questions and would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

1. I recently purchased a 2009 S40 R-Design 1.6 D. I want to do as much of the service work on the car as I can, so if there's a section dedicated to servicing could someone please point me in that direction.

2. Can someone recommend a diagnostic tool.

I do all the servicing on my BMW motorbikes and use a diagnostic tool on them, which I think is an invaluable piece of kit. So as I said any help with the above would be very much appreciated.
