Have a '97 Volvo 850. Bought in Gotenberg, Sweden while stationed in Munich, Germany. The seat belt locked on the drivers side. Got on from a "remove you part junk yard" and had the same problem. Got another on and it locked again. I went to the internet to get answers and this forum showed up. It told me to disconnect the battery and install seat belt assembly. !guess what! it worked. Now the wife can drive safely and legally for under $8. Thanks so much. Became a member today and will seek and give advice....
