Hello, I am considering buying an S60 Recharged. I previously owned a 2016 SE60 and loved that car. Sadly it got wrecked when someone sideswiped me and forced me onto a medium where I ran over a light pole. The car was totaled. I escaped with a mild concussion. The Volvo saved my life because of its super-strong construction.

I am looking for a new car and have my sights set on the S60 Recharged. I test drove one and liked it, but I need to do more research. My big concern is whether the air conditioning can handle the hot north Texas heat. I am also interested in learning more on how the different driving modes with the electric and engine and combination of the two. I am glad that I found this lace and will be doing a lot of research here.

Right now, the hybrid / plug in hybrid Volvos are getting really wacked with bad reliability ratings. Mostly software related but concerning never the less. If you've never owned a hybrid (we have a Toyota Hybrid now), its amazing how much software there's in these cars. Personally I love what I call "stealth mode" where the car drives as full electric up to 25 mph - so they are almost silent when driving through the neighborhood.
