Hey everybody

I just bought my first Volvo and I thought I'd poke around on some of the forums to see what kind of information is out there about my car.

First things first though - a little about me.

My name is Jeff and I'm a 22 y/o(soon to be) mechanical engineeringgraduatefrom Ottawa Canada.
I currently own a 1999 Mazda Protege LX that has been modded to my liking (just enough to take away the "me too" effect) and I am one of the managers of the Ottawa Mazda Club.

I also recently started a 50/50 partnership with one of my friends to build a track and Auto-x car out of a 1992 BMW 325i.

Now for the volvo :P

I just picked up my first volvo on saturday at a car auction. It's a 2002 Volvo V70XC with 126k on it.

The car looked awesome when I was checking it out before the auction and I was sure it was going to go for more than what I got it for - needless to say I'm pretty happy that it didn't.

Turns out it's one of the "OCEAN RACE" Editions (#16/100) and comes with the blue exterior paint, the emblems, the leather, etc etc.

I will post pictures when I get the chance - photobucket is blocked at work and that's where all my pictures are stored right now.

I'm looking forward to getting to know this community !

How nice to have Volvo Ocean Race package. SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System) used to fly Airbus A330-300 to Chicago with "Volvo Ocean Race" logo.

Hello I got my first Volvo 3 weeks ago,this has been my dream car since 1995 when The Volvo 850 came out, 13 years later i bought a used 2001 s80 with 117k miles on it.It drives like new. Volvo for life.
