Hey Guys,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jamie and I'm from Richmond,VA. I am a former turbobrick owner(93 940 turbo wagon) and now converted to fwd volvo's lol. I purchased a 1997 855 GLT Wagon a couple weeks ago for 800 dollars. Car is in overall great shape with 158k. Car was running great until a couple days ago when rod knock started. So now i plan on swapping a hpt 2.3 in it with minor mods and be done. If any of you all where wondering about my sn i used my old 93 as my detailing vehicle
( i do mobile detail work on the side) and continue to do the same with the 855. If any of you guys are in the Central Va region let me know would love to meet up with some of you guys.

 

Welcome to VF. Nice looking 850. Has some wear and tear but what old car doesn't. You should get some showroom new black for the bumpers. It will make them look new.

 

Thanks alot Andrew,yeah i love showroom black and gray dyes i have been using them for a couple years now on customers cars. As soon as i get the hpt 2.3 in the car will get a massive clean,detail and paint correction.

That car will look and drive amazing once you get all that done. Do you have a garage you can work in or are you doing it in the parking lot like I have to do with all of my cars.

 

lol thanks Andrew, and yeah i have a garage at my apartment but my current project car is in there now a 92 eclipse gsx but that will be out of there soon and the volvo will be going in lol
