CarTech, I have several questions I hope you can help with...I'm still in a quandary as to what gear to drive my new 2021 XC90 T8 in when on the highway. Gas mileage is very important to me as I drive almost 100 miles roundtrip Monday thru Friday on some hilly, some level, all 75 mph speed limit highway. If not B gear, why does Volvo even provide a B gear? Am I harming the RPMs?
Also, when I set my destination and add Way Points to help meter out the battery, it appears I have a bar or two of electricity left even though the mileage indicator says 0 miles available. Does it hurt to plug in the car nightly and should I unplug as soon as the app tells me she's full or is it okay to leave it plugged in all night? I know with phone batteries, Apple recommends 40-88% charge at all times to make the battery last longer. Is the Volvo car battery set up similar...can you affect the lifespan of the batteries by topping them off nightly?
Thanks so much for your help! Texas Aggie
