Greetings all,

My wife and I own a 1988 240 GL and are acquring an '89 240 wagon in another day or two. We've also had an '83 240 2-door and an '86 240 wagon but had parted with them so we could upgrade.

The pending wagon will get some Voxx MG wheels and I'll clean up the brake calipers and tint the windows. I just changed the timing belt and drive belts in the '88 sedan and it still runs great. The O/D sensor could stand to be replaced and the tranny slips a bit sometimes, but it still runs strong. The Cordova wheels need to be stripped and cleaned up but they have no major road blems.

My other Volvo addictions are the 122s and the C303. I'll get them some day. Every Volvo we've had have been essentially bullet-proof. The '86 wagon we had was rear-ended by a Nissan Stanza at about 40mph. I only had a minor scrape on the bumper plastic and the hatch lock mechanism would stick untilinsurance had it fixed. The Stanza shortened its' front end by about three feet and relocated/dumped the cooling system. It was towed to a junk yard (one way). They are the "Swedish Panzer-wagon" of present day.

Thanks for the time,
