New Owner with some concerns
This XC90 is my first Volvo. I love the design, the ride and the way the vehicle handles. I just can't understand why I've had the problems with the "toys". I purchase my 2005 XC90 three months ago c/w the built in Navigation System and Rear Seat Entertainment system (in the head rest). The dealership has been great in addressing my issues. But these toys have become a source of frustration. GPS seems to come and go. Can't seem to lock onto the GPS for extended periods, then finally starts working again. Hoping to find out if these are issues other members have experienced and whether a recall has ever been issued for these items. My rear seat entertainment system remote cannot navigate the DVD menus (menu, ffwd, rev, pause, play, stop, etc.). Interesting thing. The dealer tried my same DVD, and my remote on a 2006 XC90 and it worked fine. Are there resources/discussions that can provide me with software and firmware related information. It seems perhaps that Volvo has solved problems on the 2006 model that I'm having with my vehicle.

my mom was going to get that but i convinced her to get an s80 instead. You might want to have the dealer do a full inspection of all the electronics in your car as it could be a simple wiring mistake. Otherwise i wouldnt settle for anything less then the dealer replacing all your faulty toys for free.
