New S60 Owner with Pic!
Well, after everyone's kind advice on here, I picked up a 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD with 140k. It's had the same local Oregon owner since 2006 with a pretty good service history. Recently, Timing Belt, Water Pump, & Head Gasket were all replaced at 129k. New spark plugs and brakes all around at 105k and new Bridgestones at 125k. About all that's left I can tell it will need is some new struts up front. The struts actually feel pretty damn good, but there's plenty of noise and rattling. From my past experience with Lexus' it sounds like the strut mounts and or sway links are probably shot. The rear bumper also has that ugly fading "Zebra stripes" that I've seen on many S60's. Other than that, it's a great looking car and a lot of fun to drive. I also think the Titanium Grey Pearl Paint with Black Leather looks downright awesome!

Welcome! Nice looking ride!
Mine had the faded/zebra stripe issue when I bought it too. In fact all of the black trim was faded pretty bad. Picked up some Forever Black from Amazon and it has been on for going on 2 years and still looks pretty good. Comes in a squeeze bottle with a foam applicator like shoe polish, but I found it much easier to use a 1" foam paint brush. I just squeezed some out into small container then dipped the paint brush and gave it two coats. You can clean up any oopsies with a rag dipped into solvent so you don't even need to tape off the trim. As an extra precaution to get a good adhesion I wiped down with solvent first. In about an hour I had trim that looked virtually new. Good luck!
