Good to be here. My name is Peter and I live in Connecticut. I have recently purchased a '98 V70R. It is my first Volvo. Most of my previous cars have been 4-wheel drive vehicles as I am a die hard powder skier. So an AWD/FWD is a must for those blasts up to Stowe and Jay Peak in the middle of a raging blizzard. My last car was a '91 Jeep Cherokee. Served me well for skiing, windsurfing, and hauling debris to the recycling center ( I think that last one is for the mini-van now ). Prior to the Jeep I owned a Audi 4000 Quattro and a series of three Subarus. My first car was a '70 Mustang that I baught for $900 in 1975 w/99,000 miles on it. When I parted with it years later, it had been stolen twice, been attacked by an angry moose in the north woods of Maine and registared over 200,000 miles. I hope to reach this same milestone now with my new (used) V70R. It's a real pleasure to drive. I would like to do a few simple mods in the future and look forward to discussing them here in the forums.

Sounds like you work your cars hard! You should get plenty of advice here if you need it, hope you can give us the benefit of your experience too (maybe you've learned how to avoid moose by now? [sm=violent053.gif])
