Default New Volvo Driver in Australia

Hello All,

I've recently had the pleasure of buying a 1997 S70. This is my first Volvo after having spent many years driving a wide variety of eclectic mediocrity. I've had the S70 for just over a month now and so far so good. It runs like a dream and is extremely comfortable.

Cheers

Boris

Hello mate,

>eclectic mediocrity
To, Ho, Ni, Mi, Su, etc...

Welcome to the forum, be sure to TLC your S70. If TLCed, Volvos can outlast Japanese cars.

↓Since S70s are similar to the 850, this thread may be of some use in maintaining your vehicle:

Good luck & cheers,

Default Help Please

I have recently purchased a S80T6 2000 model Volvo and have found that the car is running fine but just recently the warning lamp has come on. The symbol of an engine in an orange colour lights up on the bottm right hand corner of the dash, I was wondering what may be the cause of the light coming on as the car seems perfectly OK.

Hi Everyone

I just joined. Like 2 minutes ago and wanted to say hi to everyone. I am from Canberra, Australia. I bought a Volvo V70 XC about 4 months ago for $1200 with a mere 150,000 kms on it. It definitely needed work so I spent about $1500 and the angle gear failed. I replaced the angle gear and it has started leaking oil again. I bought a refurbished angle gear and it didn't come with a warranty. So now I need to get rego done and want to repair the vehicle. it needs new rack ends and an angle gear. What would ya'll suggest. should I spend the money on repairs or sell it as is? I like the car though.

Thanks
Joel

Hi all,

I just joined and have just bought a 2010 Xc60. Situated in Canberra also. Wondering if you guys know any good places for body work or a good mechanic to recommend.
