Newbie checking in
Hi, I found this forum and thought I'd register. I'm driving my father in-laws 1990 240 4cyl 5spd and I'm thinking of buying it. I can probably get it for$500.00. It's filthy but solid and runs and drives perfect. It appears to have about 175,000 miles. I need to educate myself on this car and this looks like the place to do it.I will try to utilize the search option first but bear with me on the stupid over-asked questions. I guessI should be looking for a Bentley's or Haynes manual, eh? Dave

Welcome to the forum, lucky you can buy a Volvo from your dad.
I love cleaning out a filthy car and make it look like new.
If you're afraid of over-asked questions, post them in General Volvo Chat.
I used to fancy Chilton's manual when I worked on my Accord, but they seem to have given up lately. Haynes would probably be better.
