Newbie here!
Hello, the site said to introduce myself so I will!
I am a 17 year old testing technician at precision technologies inc. I work on electronics, and would love to start on cars. (never messed around too much besides a friends father handing me a tool and telling me what to do. I still liked working on it.)
I want to learn more about a cars electrical system, but I feel in order to understand it in more detail I must work on a few cars ( I learn by doing!)
My mother has an old Volvo s60 2003. we believe it needs bushings and ball joints replaced on the front end, and some transmission work.
the instrument cluster? It does not turn on anymore and would turn on and off. in the case on solder joints coming loose I brought it up to my workplace and re-flowed them. After that I was able to narrow it down to one of the power cables going to the cluster as there are no back-lights but there is text!
This has been a very great project for me in my free time along with a computer I am attempting to build (motherboard that came in had bad pogo-pins for the CPU socket)
Hopefully I can be a good asset to the forum, and vise-versa.
Great to be here,
zerorisers
