Just bought a 2002 S60 2.4 Non Turbo, driving four different S60's prior to buying this car, I notice that each of them has a noise coming from the front driver side. Sounds like a dry bearing, not to loud, but noticeable. After a couple of visits to the Volvo dealer, they said that they can not hear it! At times it will be more noticeable when I'm applying the brakes. Is this an apparent noise typical for the Volvo S60.

 

Are you 100% sure it isn't the tires making the noise?
