<former volvo tech (left dealership in 1995), and first time owner. I purchased my 1992 940 non turbo a couple weeks ago for $400 with 188k on it. having worked on these before, I always wanted one, and this kinda fell into my lap... the previous owner had the fuel pump fail, and the local parts store seem as if they didn't ask if it had the regina system, so the wrong pump was installed and still didn't run right... as far as I can tell (bought it from a third party) it sat for 2 years before he bought it, and ran into money problems, and was forced to sell... I still have issues to sort out with it, but for the last week (after installing the correct pump) it has run great and no major issues, other that normal wear items, have surfaced. this was originally purchased as a winter car, but will be in the driveway for along time to come!
