I have a 2001 Volvo S60 T5. I bought it not running and I need some insight on helping get it going. The car will start an idle sometimes but when you press the gas pedal it does nothing. And other times it'll start and shut right back off but if you press the gas pedal it will stay at idle speed and the highest it will go is around 1,100 RPMs. I can hear the fuel pump kicking on so I don't think it's the fuel pump however when I press the check valve on the fuel rail it sprays out but not very much. I am going to buy a throttle pedal accelerator sensor tomorrow to try that and see if it works. But before I go through with it I would like some input to see if I'm making the right steps to try to get it going. Please help me! And thank you in advance. It has 148,000 mi on it. Also it has a new alternator, mass air sensor, battery, air filter, I'm not sure where to go from here someone pretty please help me this is my only vehicle at the moment and I got a new job and I need it to get back and forth to work.
