Hello all. Very pleased to join the ranks of volvo owners. Was a previous owner of nissans for 12 years. I LOVE my S40. I have a power surge that I beleive is the fuel pump or the plugs. I don't have any codes, so there are no missfires. Has anybody esle had an issue that was similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated! BTW does anyone have the service interval for the timing belt on a '00 s40?

 

70k on the timing belt. But inspect it earlier.

The power surge I would look at the plugs and the Coils.
It takes alot to set a missfire code on these cars.
