Reduced Engine performance
Today I replaced the A/C compressor and belt on my 2007 S60 2.5T. I also replaced the Mass Air Flow sensor. The belt snapped because the air compressor had frozen earlier. After replacing all the parts, the REP sign is still on and the car had no acceleration. But if I unplugged the MAF sensor, the car will accelerate up to 25 miles/hour. I am afraid to drive the car to a shop because it might stall. So I am having it towed. Does anyone know why the car will not accelerate? We unplugged the battery so the codes could reset itself, it did not work. I would definitely appreciate a response if anyone has had a similar problem before. Thank you.

codes are stored in the ECU memory - you need an OBD2 scanner to clear. Why did you replace the MAF in the first place? Did you reinstall the old part to see if it went back to prior behavior? What did you use for the replacement part? Note not all after market MAFs are accurate to their stated compatibility list so you may need to research the part number a bit more or try a Genuine Volvo part.

Reduced Engine Performance
When we finished installing the compressor and belt, we decided to take the vehicle for a spin. That was when we discovered the vehicle had no acceleration. We checked the codes and it came up w/P0101. So we unplugged the MAF and we were able to accelerate the car up 25 mile or so, but when plugged, there is no acceleration. So we decided to change the MAF thinking it was faulty, but had the same problem as before, zero acceleration. We purchased an original part from O'Reilly. It was a remanufactured MAF made by Bosch with a sensor from Japan.
