Default RV towing a 93 240 wagon

I want to tow my 93 240 wagon on a regular basis at normal highway speed. It has an automatic transmission. I know that usually a car with an automatic transmission can only be towed slowly for about 20 miles, but I called my local Volvo dealer (Madison, Wis.) & to my surprise was told there is no problem flat towing this model. I'm looking for a second opinion here before possibly turning my transmission into a pile of hot "poop". Thanks-Tennessee Jimmie

Welcome to VF.

You could probably do it but I know I wouldn't without removing the drive shaft. Is there any way to tow it with the back wheels off the ground?
