Default Slew of issues with 2002 S40!

Howdy all first post here. So I got my s40 a couple months ago. It sat for several months before hand so I tried to give it a little love with new plugs and an ignition coil for cylinder 3 as I got a misfire code. After that the engine seemed erratic and shaky, enough so to break the pull on my drive belt tensioner. I replaced the pulley, and on start up the engine sputters and dies 9/10 times. When it does successfully start the engine shakes a huge amount. It has been dieing on idle or sometimes if I slow down from a higher gear, gear shifting seems slow and if I'm going up hill rpm maxes at 4-5k and can't get about 50mph. I got codes from my last emmisons test which was before any of this started happening, which were: p0722, p0015, p0303(I believe I fixed with new coil) p0107(planning on replacing MAP sensor asap) and P0700(probably need transmission fluid replacement but just trying to do things one at a time)
sorry for the long post but I've scoured this forum before joining and could use advice! Thanks all!!

The P0722 says your TCM is not getting a speed sensor signal - could be the sensor, the connector, the TCM or the ABS controller. What I'd do is clean the contacts on the TCM and on the ABS controller to see if that helps. The P0015 is saying your exhaust cam (with the VVT) is retarded. This can be due to the VVT gear or solenoid not actuating and advancing the cam. Plenty of posts on how to try cleaning up the VVT - its oil driven and sludge or vanish can build up causing problems. Th P0303 is a misfire. Could be a plug or coil or jumper wire - or could be a fuel mix issue (I got a P0303 when my FPR started acting up). The 1.9Ts also can develop cracks in the connectors to the coil. I didn't bother trying the RTV fix, I just replaced the harness, plugs, coils, wires to know the car is good for another 100K... Parts will run your about 300 or so but you can do all the work at home. Given the tie in to fuel metering, I'd probably leave this for after you solve the P0107 code for the MAP. BTW the 1.9T S40s have two MAP sensors with same part # one is on top of the manifold, and the other by the inter-cooler. If you change one, and the P0107 persists, take the MAP you removed and try it in the other location. Once you clear the 0107 then see if your misfire code persists. If so, consider a refresh on the ignition components.

Thank you for all the information mt6127, incredibly useful, i ordered a MAP sensor to be overnighted so that will be my first step, then I will get a new harness and wiring for my plugs and coils. I'll also attempt to clean all the connectors you listed and maybe even the MAF sensor. Will report back later!
