V70 2.5t or R?
I am a new to Volvo Forums and wanted to ask an opinion question? I am debating between 2 Volvo models and wondered if I might recieve some good advice. I am considering buying a 2007 V70 2.5t and making a few performance upgrades (probably Heico) or a 2006 V70R without performance upgrades (for now).
I am looking for a comfortable city car that looks great andhasgood performance when needed without going overboard. I like the styled lookof a Heico modified V70, but don't know if it is going to perform as well as the R. My apprehensions about the R model is the turning radius and 4C (read many negative blogs about not providing a good everyday driving comfort).
I have been researching for weeks and have about a week left to make my decision between the two models before one is probably nabbed by someone else. I would pursue a dedicated performance sports car, but I am starting a family and cannot afford two cars, so I am looking for a mediumbetween performance and functionality.
Any suggestions? If this is not a preferred thread for this forum, my apologies.

RE: V70 2.5t or R?
I can't give you specific recommendations, but I have an S60 R, and wouldn't have thought about the 2.5T for a split second. The R is a great car because it gives you the options for everything you need, it can be an out an out sports car, but you kick the suspension over to "Comfort" and it'll be fine for hauling around a family. Honestly, depending upon what your price limitations are, I would just look at the overall total costs to getting the 2.5T plus all the aftermarket additions you want, compared to the price of the R as it is.

RE: V70 2.5t or R?
Thanks for the feedback. The 2007 V70 2.5t has 1,000mi. and can get for 27,500. and the 2006 V70R has 20,000mi and can get for 25,000. The R is less investment, but I was concerned about the4C and turn radius. Sounds like these haven't been an issue with your S60R experience.
