I have just put alot of money into my front end last week only to have my power seat malfunction this week. Before I bring it to my volvo dealership and loose my week's pay, I was wondering if anyone could help me here. The seat is far too close to the dash and the console side rail under the seat is stuck while the other one moves freely, but only as far as the seized rail allows. Don't see anything caught to make it freeze. Please help!!! Thanks

 

The seat cable is bad.

If you canm locate the cable for that side you can use a mini torch CAREFULLY to heat the outside part of it then push it in some while someone works the switch and it should drop into place.
