Default Volvo Newbie

Hey folks,
I'm new to Volvos. Never had one before. Tomorrow I will take possession of an 89 740GL. Single owner car, garage kept, 84k on the clock.
Really looking forward to getting behind the wheel.
I'm sure I'll need assistance from you all to keep it running.
I'll post pics after I get the car.

Welcome to this forum! I'm assuming that someone who buys a 33 year old car like this is buying it for its value as a collectible, and not as the primary mode of transportation. I know very little about this particular model, but am assuming it's rear wheel drive, with seatbelts. Estate or saloon?

Thanks for the welcome. It is a saloon car. First of all, let me say I know nothing about maintaining Volvos. But based on their reputation and only 84k on the car, I was going to try to use it as a daily.
However, I'm not selling my current car just yet. We will see how it goes. Maybe a semi-daily car.

I have always loved the older Volvo's from the last century. In any case, the fact that this car has been driven so little and kept in a garage all these many years makes it very collectible, imo. Hope you enjoy it.
