Default A Volvo Newbie

A good day to you all!
My name is Ken and my sons name is Jr. We went out on a limb the other day and picked up an '01 S80 with a 2.9. Sharp little car.

Anyway, we have come to the VOLVO GODs looking for advice. Using your knowledge and our mechanical abilities I think we have a "jewel in the rough".

This car was involved in a weird accident. The lady who owned it drove over a curb at a considerable rate of speed.

Here's what we have:
1. It starts a little hard (maybe 6-8 tries) then runs as if it's on 3 of 6 cylinders for about 5 minutes then smooths out. Is there anything we can check or do without taking it to a volvo repair shop?

2. The hit (or drive over) was so hard that it bent the window regulators way out of wack. We have pulled those from the front doors, straightened, re-enforced 'em and are in the process of reinstalling.

3. Both front struts are in need or replacement. The front end bounces and bounces and bounces (you get the point). Is there anything we should look for on the coil springs?

4. The sun roof has been knocked out of track. Is there an easy way of operating this thing? We have taken out the liner and all the pillars to get to something that doesn't work unless it's hooked up to the wiring circuit which is glued to the headliner.

5. And it appears there is a broken engine mount (lower backside of engine).

You are the guys who know. We are your grasshopper, you are the masters. (Kung Fu days)

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated so we want to thank you in advance.
