Default Volvo S60 suddenly goes totally dead electrically

My 2015.5 Volvo S60 sedan has suddenly lost all electrical power and gone totally dead twice in the past two weeks. Both times I had just stopped the car at a red light . The first time AAA charged the battery and it then started and ran fine. I then replaced the battery. Yesterday it again suddenly totally SHUT OFF at a red light. Both times, All power was off. I could not even open the trunk. Last night I waited for AAA for 45 minutes and saw that suddenly the car electrical system came back to life! I drove it home with no problems. What could be happening?

does your car have an engine start/stop option? Try disabling it if you do. Have you also had the car tested for system voltage? if your voltage too low it can cause odd events with the computers - an issue with the alternator, battery or voltage regulator could allow the volts to drop below a threshold that will cause computer faults. I'd also do an OBD2 scan or have a volvo shop use VIDA to scan for any stored fault codes that may indicate something like a computer to computer connectivity issue.
