Volvo v50 petrol fuel problem

Hi all. I have a 2008 v50 petrol estate. Have had problems with ignition turning over but engine not firing. Had a new fuel pump fitted for £300 but now same thing happened. Any ideas please as I'm desperate and now skint. Cheers.
