I have a problem that I can't start the Volvo XC60 20T engine B4204T7
Checked with DTC ECM-081A00
I have replaced the ECM and ECM but still have the same problem
please help what to fix next
when you say can't start, a little more info is needed to comment. Does it crank? does it crank but not catch? Does it crank and almost catch? Does it crank faster than normal?
How did you conclude you need an ECM? BTW, I can't find the ECM-081A code explanation - did you mean ECM-981A?
Assuming its cranking have you tested for fuel pressure? do you have gas in the tank (don't assume the fuel gauge is correct)? has the car been sitting in the cold (ie possible gas line freeze up)? Have you checked for spark (you may need a special tool for coil on plug testing)? are you getting an injector pulse? What does the system voltage look like (measure at the battery terminals).
Last question - How did you attempt to fix the ECM? did you have any programming done or just tried dropping in a used part?
The volvo can't start when I push start button engine not crank
we have repalced
1. starter relay
2. used ECM (including programed)
3. used CEM (including programed)
4. clean all ground point and all socket cable
DTC code ECM-081A00 (no match)
but engine can start with press brake pedal and connect dirctly cable from starter selenoid to port Positive battery
Has annyone ever had a problrm like this...? and how to fix it..?
