Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I just ordered a 2010 Volvo S40. I am very excited about it. I should have it sometime in August, if all goes well with shipment. The Factory shuts down for a month in July. So if it is built and QC'd, then shipped by the end of June, it should arrive within the estimated timeframe.

This will be my first Volvo. Any suggestions or comments on the S40 would be appreciated.

I do have a question that some may be able to help me out with. Is the iPod Music Interface fully compatible with iPod Touch 2nd Generation? Like will it charge it also?

Your in Japan, there is a company over there called VST. they have some sweet volvo parts, but I can't find them anymore over here in the US.....

Well, I just learned they haven't started on my car as of today. I will keep you all posted on when they do.
I also learned the iPod Music Interface does not charge the iPod Touch 2nd Generation. It will play, just not charge.
I hope this information has helped someone else who was wondering the same thing.

 

Okay. So, I thought I was getting a S40. Well. The factory told me it would not get to me until mid-October. I didn't want to wait that long. So, now I'm getting a S80 T6. It should arrive around mid-July. I almost feel as though I am settling for the S80. The S40 was a starter car me. And the S80 was not in reach at the moment. Maybe my mind will change once I receive it. I'll will keep everyone posted.

 

Settling, for an S80? I don't think so. You're upgrading engine, horsepower, size etc. Congrats. What color, options etc.?

 

Thanks. I will be receiving the '09 Executive package with Climate package, PCC, front and rear park assist, and BLIS in Titanium Grey Pearl with Soft Black interior for 2K more. The '10 S40 had Navi, BLIS, Keyless drive, Bi-Xenon headlights, rear park assist, satellite radio, Electric Silver, and Atreus Wheels. I guess the only things I wanted was with the S80 was Navi and Bi-Xenon lights also. I will have satellite radio installed upon arrival. And maybe add a portable Navi later. I'm not sure on that right now. I will be sure to post many pictures when I receive it in July. We just paid for it today. Now, we are waiting for it to ship from Sweden.

 

Sounds like a sharp S80.
