Default Well, hello!

Hi!
I am, indeed and new member, I joined cause I having problems with my mothers Volvo, and l am looking for some help, hopefully! ^_^ I am not very mechanically inclined, but I have fixed a bit on this car in the past.

It is a 740 GLE 86' Stationwagon.

This car has not been driven in over 2/3 years, but always started and ran fine. Put a new battery in it last December, and it ran for a few months. Recently it was completely dead, so had the battery charged. Now, the car doesn't start at all. It barely cranks, and sounds like its not getting any power really.
I don't understand what could cause it from starting, and now not.

Haha, hope this makes some sense. 0_o

Thanks,
Barbara

Thank you!

And after looking more into what might be the problem...I believe it is the Fuel Pump. I don't hear it when I turn the car on. I read in the Vovlo Chilton book that from not starting the car, the fuel pump may be stuck, and lightly tap it. Haha, if only I could find it.

In the book it shows it being on the left side of the gas tank. Didn't see it...any advice?
