I have a 2004 Volvo Sedan for private sale. No rust, no accidents, black, owned by 2 different people, 203,000, leather heated seats. We just found out that it has a cracked valve and don't want to invest to have it fixed. I posted it for private sale on Craigslist - 2 calls, no action. I don't want to just give it away - a little money would help out. Any ideas as to other places to post a sale? Sabrina

 

you can post an entry on the Volvo Classified / For Sale board in this forum to get some views. Use the "forums" pull down navigation on the top of the page by the home icon or click on the folder tree to find the For Sale board.

Probably would help to list the model/location and your asking price. Also when you say cracked valve, do you mean a cracked cylinder head (like is it losing coolant) or a burnt valve (losing compression?) to give the reader a sense of what is needed for the repair. You can also upload photos using the "advanced" compose and paper clip icon. Good luck!

 

Photos and a more detailed description of the vehicle and its current issues would probably get more attention.
Craigslist will always bring the tire kickers and shady characters so I try to avoid listing things for sale there. There are other Volvo owner forums that you can try as well. There's a dedicated For Sale section at the bottom of the main page, I'd assume more people looking to buy would start there first.
