locked up rear wheel,
cracked windshield
bad starter/starts when jumped, dies when cables removed)

"bad starter" sounds like a bad battery to me... any idea on the locked up rear wheel - brakes vs bearing? quite possible it can be that the emergency brake shoes have separated and are rubbing (pull off the rear disk to find out... if so, you can simply remove the bits) or can be a frozen caliper - you can pry the pads inward with a screw driver to see if that frees up the wheel)

 

If only I had a trailer and a truck to tow...Not to mention Ithica is a bit of a hike from midwestern PA :/ I could use an OBDII parts car, epsecially a T5 wagon...

 

Hey is that 850 still available my brother in law needs a car and lives in Cortland - 30 minutes from Ithaca? How many miles on it?
