1984 Volvo 245 DL - AC Issues
Hi folks,
I am hoping someone could tell me exactly where the 1 black wire that comes out from behind the compressor pully connects to. The AC is not currently working.I just don't want to guess as there are several possibilities. There has been allot of people throughout the years that have worked on this car and there seems to be several extraneous wires that I really do not want to have to figure out at this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Alex B. Clough

There is a green wire down near the compressor that goes to the ac relay inside the car. That is normally connected to a pair of green wires that go across the top of the radiator to the low pressure cutoff switch on top of the receiver drier. (to cut power to the compressor if there is low pressure on the high side). You can elimate that loop to the pressure switch and back if you want- just the compressor won't turn off if it's empty of freon.
I would use a jumper wire and connect the black clutch wire to the positive battery terminal to see if it actually works first.
